Arizona Cardinals Linked To Chiefs Offensive Coordinator
The Arizona Cardinals are seemingly preparing to make Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jonathan Gannon their next Head Coach, and if they do that, they'll need to move quickly to fill in their Offensive Coordinator role, especially given how quickly elite coaching talent is continually taken off the board.
Unsurprisingly, the Cardinals have now officially been linked to two-time Super Bowl winning Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy, as his agent claimed he is a candidate there, along with the Coordinator roles in Washington and Baltimore.
Bieniemy has a great role right now with Patrick Mahomes, but if the Cardinals hire a defensive minded coach, heading there would allow him to increase his role and call plays, so while a lot of things need to happen before this hiring would occur, it makes sense for both sides.Eric Bieniemy could be a candidate for the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive coordinator position, per his agent Jason Fletcher (via @ProFootballTalk).@BoBrack and I had heard rumblings this week that the team had some interest in pairing Kyler Murray with Bieniemy (as HC).
