Aaron Rodgers Going on "Darkness Retreat" To Contemplate Playing Future

Well, this is fascinating.

On Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers told the Pat McAfee Show that he plans to attend a "darkness retreat" where he will contemplate his future before making any decisions.

So basically, according to Rodgers, the "darkness retreat" he's going on is four days of complete darkness alone in a little house. It's an isolation of darkness with no music or literally anything, except for food, which is dropped through a little slot each day.

No light at all, for four days and nights.

The idea, according to Rodgers, is to sit in isolation, with no sounds, just you and your thoughts. Rodgers also added that the experience stimulates DMT, which can produce hallucinations.

"It's just sitting in silence, which most of us never do. We rarely even turn our phones off or put the blinds down to sleep in darkness."

Rodgers said he has friends who have done it and they've all had "profound experiences."

No light, sound, or human contact for four days for Aaron Rodgers and, after that, he will presumably announce his decision on whether or not he will continue playing football in 2023.
