Washington Commanders Request To Interview 49ers Coach For OC Role
After another promising but eventually disappointing season, the Washington Commanders decided they needed to make a change on this coaching staff, and now, they're looking to fill the Offensive Coordinator role with a veteran who can get the most out of Sam Howell and this talented group.
One name that many haven't considered is former Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach, and current 49ers Assistant Head Coach and running backs coach Anthony Lynn, and while his Chargers tenure ended in disappointment, he remains a fantastic coach, who could get the most out of this offence, especially Brian Robinson and this backs room.
There's several great candidates for this job, but given his experience at the NFL level, Lynn could be the best of all, but given how many people out there can perform the role, it's safe to say that Washington, like other teams, will be taking their time with these hires. The Washington Commanders requested to interview 49ers assistant head coach/running backs coach Anthony Lynn for their OC vacancy, per source.
