Washington Commanders Request An Interview With Chiefs OC
This off-season, there's been quite a high amount of vacant coaching jobs around the NFL, and unusually, there remains plenty of them unfilled, and perhaps the reason for that is the interest in all the coaches remaining in the playoffs, with two notable names being Jonathan Gannon and Eric Bieniemy.
The Washington Commanders are one of those teams waiting for every possible interview, and this past week, they've officially requested an interview with Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Bieniemy, who would be a fantastic addition to this staff, especially if they are to move forward with Sam Howell at Quarterback.
Bieniemy has drawn plenty of interest in the coaching ranks over the past few years, but has yet to be given a job to leave Kansas City, and with yet another trip to the Super Bowl on the way, it's hard to see him leaving yet again. Only time will tell however. The #Commanders have yet to hire an OC and one reason why: They’ve requested permission to interview #Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy and he’s emerged as a potential key candidate, sources say. He also was requested by the #Jets, #Titans and #Ravens for OC jobs.
