Washington Commanders RB Done for the Year
The Washington Commanders have placed Antonio Gibson on injured reserve.
This officially marks the end of Gibson's 2022 season, but he was already expected to miss Week 18. The 24-year-old running back is dealing with a knee injury, and now it has made his season come to an early end.
Gibson performed well this season with the Commanders, as he had three touchdowns, 149 rushes, and 546 rushing yards in 15 appearances. Overall, he ended up being a solid part of Washington's offense, so it certainly is not the greatest news that he isn't playing again this season. However, with Washington already out of the playoff race, it also is the right call by the player and team.
