Two San Francisco 49ers Running Backs Remain Out Of Practice

The San Francisco 49ers offence has been absolute rolling over the past few months, even with a rookie playing at Quarterback, and perhaps the biggest reason for that is their star duo in the backfield of Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell.

Unfortunately, at the worst time of the year, both men have missed practice for the second day in a row, and while there's still time for them to make it back in time for the NFC Championship Game (with a real possibility that this is just a precaution), it's not a good sign.

Kyle Shanahan says Christian McCaffrey (calf) & Elijah Mitchell (groin) won’t practice again today. Deebo Samuel (ankle) and Charles Omenihu (oblique) will be limited.

With weapons on the outside, a great offensive line and arguably the best defence in the entire NFL, this 49ers team are on a roll, but if they miss both of their running backs, it will be a major blow, so this is a story to keep an eye on.
