Two New York Jets Take Home PFWA Rookie Of The Year Awards
While the NFL will officially reveal the AP end of year awards over Super Bowl weekend, the Pro Football Writers Association have their own award that has become renowned throughout the NFL, and yesterday, they announced their first award winners for the 2022 season.
It just so happens that they come from the same team, as Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner were officially awarded with their Rookie of the Year awards for both Offence and Defence, and while there's certainly arguments to be made for the likes of Chris Olave and Tariq Woolen, it's hard to deny their claim to the crown.
While the Jets fell off towards the end of the year, both Sauce and Garrett were two of the premier players at their position all season long, and with another off-season under their belts, they will be ready to lead the Jets to success in 2023, as they've shown everything it takes to be elite players in the NFL.Jets CB Sauce Gardner named NFL Rookie of the Year and NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year by the @PFWAwriters. WR Garrett Wilson is named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. #Jets
