Seattle Seahawks Extend Star Kicker
The Seattle Seahawks had a better 2022 than anyone could have hoped for, and with a high pick in the 2023 NFL Draft due to the Russell Wilson trade, they should make another jump next season, and yesterday, they made the first move in attempting to solidify that future.
Geno Smith's contract situation is still certainly up in the air, but the Seahawks announced that they've brought back star kicker Jason Myers on a four-year deal, and while Kicker isn't the most crucial position in sports, a great kicker can certainly be a massive boost for an NFL team, as Myers has for Seattle these past few years.
In four years with the Seahawks, Myers has made an impressive 98 of 112 Field Goal attempts, and has been one of the best kickers in the league over that time, so ahead of what could be a massive off-season, this is a fantastic start. Here to stay. ✍️ pic.twitter.com/NdvbylHQJ7
