Seattle Seahawks Associate Head Coach to Interview with Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins
The #Vikings and #Dolphins, both of whom have vacant DC jobs, have requested to interview #Seahawks defensive assistant and associate head coach Sean Desai, sources say.

Desai joined the Seahawks in 2022 and contributed to a surprising Wildcard Round playoff berth, but that was largely due to their offense; the defense ranked 25th in points allowed and 26th in yards allowed. Before that, he coached for Chicago Bears defense in a variety of roles from 2013 to 2021, culminating in a defensive coordinator position in 2021. The Bears ranked sixth in yards allowed, but 22nd in points allowed that season.
Desai doesn't have a particularly exciting resume as a defensive coach, but the Vikings and Dolphins need all the help they can get. The Vikings ranked a disastrous 28th in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed in 2022, and the Dolphins weren't much better, ranking 24th in points allowed. At 39 years old, Desai is a relatively young coach, and he could likely help a franchise to make incremental progress on the defensive side of the ball.
