San Francisco 49ers Running Back Expected To Play Through Calf Injury
Once again over the weekend, the San Francisco 49ers proved why they are the Super Bowl favourites in the NFC this season, with a solid win over the Dallas Cowboys, but unfortunately, they didn't get through that 19-12 victory unscathed.
It appears that superstar running back Christian McCaffrey suffered a calf injury in the win, but according to Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, it isn't expected to keep him out of the NFC Championship game, but depending on how he recovers through the week, it could certainly limit him.
The Niners faced plenty of criticism when they gave up significant draft compensation to acquire him from the Carolina Panthers, but he has scored a Touchdown in nine straight games, adding yet another weapon to an offence that's ready for a Super Bowl run, so the team will be hoping he can contribute again this weekend.Christian McCaffrey did indeed suffer a calf injury.

Hopefully this is grade 1, because Grade 2s take 4-8 w, they’re awful.
He will play this weekend, but will be less explosive. 3rd down only?
