San Francisco 49ers QB Undergoes Second Surgery
The San Francisco 49ers used a lot of draft capital to move up in the 2021 draft to take Trey Lance, and now, with Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy looking like a star in this offence, they've got a genuine dilemma on their hands, and after the latest update on Lance's health, it appears they'll have all season to sort out the competition.
In the past few days, Lance underwent a second surgery on his ankle, removing the hardware that was placed there during the first surgery, and while he'll be on crutches for a few weeks, he'll be healthy by the time the teams OTA's roll around next season.
At this point in time, Purdy looks like the better Quarterback in this system, but with an off-season to sort out all their issues, this is going to be one of the most important periods in the history of the San Francisco 49ers organization.Sources: #49ers QB Trey Lance underwent a second surgery on his right ankle to remove hardware that was inserted during the first surgery. He experienced irritation based on the location of the hardware. Will be on crutches for 2 weeks, fine for OTAs.
