Positive Update On Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a heartbreaking loss this past Monday to the Dallas Cowboys, and while that will come with plenty of implications for the off-season ahead, young wide receiver Russell Gage was also carted off the field with a major neck injury that caused plenty of concern.
Thankfully, Head Coach Todd Bowles revealed to the media that for the most part, Gage will be released from hospital in great condition, and while he has a concussion, there's no serious injury to his neck, which is what many had unfortunately feared.
On the year, Gage racked up 51 catches for 426 yards and 4 Touchdowns, and while it wasn't his best year due to injury concerns, he's still got plenty of potential for the future, so it's fantastic news that he's going to be okay after taking a scary hit late in the game.#Bucs coach Todd Bowles says WR Russell Gage should be released from the hospital this afternoon. Gage has a concussion, but "his neck is fine and right now he has all his extremities moving."
