A tough loss for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles have ruled out cornerback Avonte Maddox for Saturday's game against the New York Giants.

Lane Johnson, Jalen Hurts are good to go
Maddox suffered a toe injury during the team's Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, forcing him to miss the final two games of the regular season. The Eagles had a week off during the wild-card round as the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but it clearly wasn't enough time for Maddox to get healthy in time.
In his absence, C.J. Gardner-Johnson should slot in at nickel corner.
In 10 games this season, the twenty-six-year-old Maddox had 43 total tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and three passes defended.
