NFL Three Stars For Week 17: Running Back
3. Travis Etienne
Stat line: 9 carries, 108 yards, 1 Touchdown, 3 catches, 32 yards.
The Jaguars have emerged as genuine contenders in the AFC in 2022/23, and while Trevor Lawrence steals the headlines, Travis Etienne's emergence has been just as important, and in a year or two, it shouldn't shock anyone if he was considered a top-five running back in the entire NFL.
2. Jamaal Williams
Stat line: 22 carries, 144 yards, 1 Touchdown, 1 catch, 13 yards.
The Detroit Lions have arguably been the story of the NFL in 2022/23, with a chance to land a spot in the NFC playoffs with a win in Week 18, and if they are to do so, Jamaal Williams will play a big part, as he's been fantastic all year long, especially in Week 17 in the win over the Chicago Bears.
1. Christian McCaffrey
Stat line: 19 carries, 121 yards, 1 Touchdown, 6 catches, 72 yards.
While many questioned the 49ers move to pick up Christian McCaffrey at the deadline, he's been a major help since Brock Purdy took over at Quarterback, and if he can stay healthy and continue to contribute as a runner and a receiver, he could be the difference maker between a good team and a Super Bowl contender.
