NFL Rumors: Seattle Seahawks QB Wants to Stay Put

After a fantastic season as the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, Geno Smith is due for his next contract. Yet, instead of testing the free-agent market, his preference is to re-sign with the Seahawks instead.

It is easy to understand why Smith wants to stay with the Seahawks, as they gave him the chance to be a starter at the NFL level after so many years. Now, his strong campaign will result in him receiving a nice raise, and he has earned every penny of it.

The Seahawks and Smith are having contract negotiations, so we will have to wait and see when a new deal is finalized. At the end of the day, we should expect to see Smith back in Seattle instead of sporting a different jersey next season.
