NFL Rumors: Early Favourite For Texans Head Coach Job Revealed

After just one season, the Houston Texans have officially fired veteran Head Coach Lovie Smith, and now, they've requested to interview five names to potentially be the next Head Coach of this franchise, all of which are young and could help mold the future of this organization, which has tremendous potential going forward.

While they won't rush the decision, and will interview as many qualified candidates as possible, a favourite has emerged for the job, which is current Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, who has done a great job with this franchise over the past two seasons.

Gannon is expected to be one of the next coordinators to take the jump to Head Coach, and with Denver, Carolina, Indianapolis, Houston and Arizona all having vacancies, with several others likely to be available over the next year or two, he will make the jump, but will it be with the Houston Texans?
