NFL Announces Divisional Round Schedule
Wildcard Weekend isn't even over yet, and the NFL has already revealed its schedule for a massive Divisional Round slate of games. The NFL's top seeds will both make their postseason debuts on Saturday night when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants, while Sunday will see matchups between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals and the San Francisco 49ers against either the Dallas Cowboys or Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Of the four matchups, the Bills/Bengals showdown is projected to be the closest: the Bills are narrow 4-point favorites over the AFC North champs. The Chiefs are 8.5-point favorites over the Jags, the Eagles are 7.5-point favorites over the Giants, and the 49ers will likely be significant favorites over whoever wins between the Bucs and Cowboys on Monday Night Football.Mark your calendars. Still, huge lines don't necessarily guarantee blowouts. The Bills were massive 14-point favorites over the Miami Dolphins in the Wildcard Round but fought tooth and nail to a 34-31 win, and the Bengals were 7.5 favorites over the Baltimore Ravens before scratching out a razor-thin 24-17 win on one of the greatest postseason plays of all time.
