New York Jets Officially Part Ways With Offensive Coordinator
Earlier today, reports came out that New York Jets had fired their Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur, but it was confirmed that nothing was definite, and now, they've officially confirmed that the two will mutually part ways, allowing the young Coordinator a chance to seek another opportunity.
The young coach is highly regarded around The NFL, but given the struggles the Jets had at Quarterback late in the year, he just couldn't find a way around it, and now, he's likely to draw a lot of attention from teams looking at young Coordinators.Several teams have inquired about Mike LaFleur and #Jets coach Robert Saleh has allowed him to seek other opportunities. The Jets showed massive improvements in 2022 on the offensive side of the ball, but ultimately, this is a team that now believes they can step up into the playoffs in 2023, and with so many veteran names out there, LaFleur just wasn't cutting it, and we will see what happens for both sides going forward.
