New York Jets OC Makes Interesting Comment About Zach Wilson's Rookie Year
The New York Jets finished a promising start to their 2022/23 season with a disappointing end, and while there are plenty of factors involved, it's safe to say the lack of development for second year Quarterback Zach Wilson was one of the big reasons this team failed to win big games down the stretch.
While the team will have all off-season to decide what to do at the position, whether they trade him for a veteran, draft another young Quarterback or stick with the status quo, their offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur made a very interesting comment today about his development.
When talking to the media, LaFleur said it may have been better in hindsight for Wilson to sit behind a veteran for his rookie year, but at this point, it's too late for regret, as the team will need to figure out a way to capitalize on all the young talent they've accumulated over the past two seasons.LaFleur admits, in hindsight, it would've been better for Wilson to sit and watch a vet as a rookie. First time anyone in the organization has acknowledged that. #Jets
