New York Jets Head Coach Throws Support Behind Offensive Coordinator
The New York Jets may have started 2022 hot, but due to injuries and lack of consistent success at the Quarterback position, they've fallen all the way to 7-9 and out of the playoffs, and now, plenty of criticism is being sent the way of young Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur.
Early in the year with Breece Hall, the offence was rolling, and while his play calling struggled down the stretch, Head Coach Robert Saleh has thrown his support behind the young coach, although his situation is one the front office will certainly discuss in the off-season.
Along with that, the team will need to find their starting Quarterback that will help a genuinely talented squad compete, so it's safe to say that after a big step forward in 2022, the Jets have plenty of decisions to make if they want to take another leap in 2023.Saleh says he still has confidence in LaFleur. Said he's been in his shoes. In 2018, Saleh said Kyle Shanahan could have made him the scapegoat in San Francisco after the season but didn't.
