The New Orleans Saints have placed Dwayne Washington on injured reserve.

Washington has primarily been a backup running back for the Saints this campaign, so this IR placement does not impact their starting group too significantly. However, when noting that the Saints are currently fighting for their playoff lives, they certainly are not jumping for joy over the fact that a piece of their depth is now officially done for the year.

In 12 games this season for New Orleans, Washington recorded 11 rushes to go along with 38 rushing yards. He did not appear in a game since Week 13.
