New England Patriots Interview Bill O'Brien For Offensive Coordinator Role
The New England Patriots baffled the NFL world this past season when they went without an officially Offensive Coordinator, instead opting to give the play calling duties to a primarily defensive coach in Matt Patricia, and if they want to reach the playoffs yet again in 2023, they'll need to make a big time change.
Now, it appears they'll potentially be turning to a familiar face, as today, they completed an interview with former Offensive Coordinator Bill O'Brien, who currently serves in the same role with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
O'Brien served in several different coaching roles with New England from 2007-2011, and after a solid stint at Alabama working with Bryce Young, it appears he's ready to make the leap back to the NFL, and this could be the best job for him.The #Patriots have interviewed #Bama OC Bill O'Brien today for their vacant OC job, sources say. He's considered a top candidate.
