New England Patriots Coach Gains Increased Role Within The Organization
As soon as the 2022 NFL regular season concluded and teams began declaring interest and booking interviews for vacant coaching roles, one name that continued to come up was Patriots coach Jerod Mayo, but unfortunately for other teams, New England made it clear that he was off limits.
Today, they began showing just how important he is to the future of this franchise as a coach, as he was present with Head Coach Bill Belichick when the team conducted all four of their Offensive Coordinator interviews, showing how he is viewed within the building.
With a talented group of players, if the Patriots get this off-season right, they could go right back to competing for a playoff role, and with Mayo climbing the ranks, it appears it's only a matter of time until he is a defensive coordinator. That's true and really fascinating. Jerod Mayo is clearly respected inside that organization. https://t.co/U0w02GRa3t
