Minnesota Vikings To Interview Steelers Coach For DC Job
The Minnesota Vikings have once again followed up a promising regular season with a disappointing end, as they fell to the Giants over Wild Card weekend, and while the Head Coach is secure, they've made the choice to move on and make a change at the Defensive Coordinator spot.
With talented veterans all over the field, there's no reason for Minnesota to expect a massive step back in 2023, and if they can fill the DC job with an experienced coach, we could be looking at a team ready to make a huge leap next season.
Now, it appears they are seeking out former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Brian Flores, who currently works as a senior defensive assistant and linebacker coach in Pittsburgh, and if they could bring him aboard, this would certainly be a team to watch. The #Vikings have requested permission to speak with #Steelers senior defensive assistant and LBs coach Brian Flores for their newly vacant DC job, source said. Coach Kevin O’Connell and Flores overlapped in New England for a year.
