Minnesota Vikings Interview Saints Coach For DC Job
Despite an incredible regular season, the Minnesota Vikings couldn't get past the Giants over Wild Card Weekend, and while the offence is secure, it appears that the organization believe their defence is the weak spot, as they followed up that loss by letting go of Defensive Coordinator Ed Donatell.
Yesterday, the team announced they've completed their first interview looking for his successor, as they spoke with New Orleans Saints co-Defensive Coordinator Ryan Nielsen, a young coach who has been with the Saints since 2017, and appears ready to take the next step in his career.
As the first interviewee, it's unlikely that he gets hired anytime soon, as the Vikings will want to be thorough in their process, but after rising through the ranks in New Orleans, it's only a matter of time until he takes a job like this one.The #Vikings announced they've interviewed Saints co-defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen. It's the first interview they've completed in their search for Ed Donatell's successor at defensive coordinator.
