Miami Dolphins Name Starter for Week 18
The Miami Dolphins have announced that Skylar Thompson will be serving as their starting quarterback for their crucial Week 18 game against the New York Jets.
There was some hope that Teddy Bridgewater would be good to go after suffering a pinky injury last weekend, but alas, with this development, that certainly is not the case. Now, Thompson will be trying to play the role of hero as the Dolphins aim to make the playoffs. If they lose, they are done.
Thompson has appeared in six games for the Dolphins this season, where he has thrown one touchdown, three interceptions, and 382 yards. We will have to wait and see if he can save Miami's season. It is certainly a hard job for a rookie, third-string quarterback, but crazier things have certainly happened. Furthermore, New York is also dealing with injuries to their QBs, so this is anyone's game.
