Miami Dolphins Fire Defensive Coordinator
The Miami Dolphins are coming off one of their most successful seasons in recent memory, but unfortunately, they were unable to make it past the first week of the playoffs, and while many will blame that on the injury to their star Quarterback, they certainly had other big weaknesses.
The main one that we will point too is the defensive side of the ball, as, despite all the talent they had, they still couldn't find consistency throughout the year, and after giving up 34 against the Bills on Wild Card Weekend, they've made the decision to officially move on from Defensive Coordinator Josh Boyer.
In 2022, by most metrics, the Dolphins were in the bottom third of the league in defence, even after acquiring Bradley Chubb in a blockbuster deal, and now, it looks like they'll be looking to start fresh in 2023 as they build on their playoff appearance in 2022.The #Dolphins have parted ways with defensive coordinator Josh Boyer, sources tell me and @TomPelissero, with coach Mike McDaniel now set to hire his own DC and some new defensive staffers. pic.twitter.com/TbIr0YhNEx
