Los Angeles Rams DC Morris to Interview with Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos are considering a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach for their own head coaching vacancy. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the teams will interview current Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris in the coming days.
Sources: #Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris will interview with the #Colts on Friday and the #Broncos on Tuesday. An experienced head coach, he'd fit the mold for both teams that requested him.

Morris was one of the youngest head coaches in NFL history when he took over from Jon Gruden for the Buccaneers in 2009 at 33 years old. He managed one winning season in three years and compiled only a .354 win percentage overall. He bounced around the league as a position coach before eventually working his way to a defensive coordinator role with the Rams in 2021.
The Rams won a Super Bowl with Morris in 2021, but their defense already had an established history of success before he joined the team: they ranked first in points allowed and yards allowed in 2020. They ranked 15th in points and 17th in yards in 2021 and 21st in points and 19th in yards in 2022 under Morris.
At 46 years old, Morris remains a relatively young but extremely experienced coach, and he likely maintains the charisma that made him such a promising coaching prospect way back in 2009. He's earned another chance to lead a franchise.
