Los Angeles Chargers Wide Receiver Williams Misses Practice
The Los Angeles Chargers will have a serious question mark at pass catcher for their Wildcard Round matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wide receiver Mike Williams missed practice Wednesday with a back injury.

Williams also missed Tuesday's walkthrough. He was carted off the field in the Chargers' Week 18 31-28 loss to the Denver Broncos after logging 32 snaps and nabbing four of his five targets for 32 yards. He totalled 895 receiving yards in 13 appearances over the course of the season.
Williams' injury on Sunday generated controversy due to the Chargers being locked into the fifth seed in the AFC. Several Chargers starters played extensively and were put at arguably unnecessary risk. Williams could very well end up missing the Wildcard Round because he was injured in a relatively meaningless game.
The Chargers have already played the Jaguars once this year: a 38-10 defeat in Week 3. If Williams is unavailable on Saturday and the Chargers suffer another devastating loss, the decision to play him in Week 18 will be subject to extreme (and likely unforgiving) scrutiny.
