Los Angeles Chargers Request An Interview With Rams QB Coach
The Los Angeles Chargers suffered a major meltdown over Wild Card weekend, blowing a 27-0 lead to the talented young Jacksonville Jaguars, and while many expected it to be the end of Brandon Staley's reign as Head Coach, he is safe, as the team opted to fire their Offensive Coordinator instead.
Now, they're casting a wide net for a role that most offensive coaches would love to have, with the chance to work with Justin Herbert and this talented offence, and today, the team officially requested to interview a rising star in the coaching ranks in the form of LA Rams pass game coordinator/QB Coach Zac Robinson.
At 36-years of age, Robinson has been coaching with the Rams since 2019, and has become a rising star in the coaching ranks, so while they may opt to go with a veteran coach for their Offensive Coordinator role, Robinson is going to get his chance, sooner, rather than later. The #Chargers requested an interview with #Rams pass game coordinator/QBs coach Zac Robinson and he's considered a strong candidate for their offensive coordinator job, per sources.
