Los Angeles Chargers Designate Slater to Return From Injured Reserve
The Los Angeles Chargers are just days away from their first playoff game in several years, as they prepare to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road for Wild Card weekend, and if they can get through this game, it appears that they have a massive boost on the way.
Today, Head Coach Brandon Staley officially announced that the 21-day practice window for star tackle Rashawn Slater has been opened, and while he won't play in week 1 of the playoffs, there's a great chance that he could return a week later.
The 23-year old was the No. 13 overall pick back in 2021, and made the Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro in his first year, but suffered a ruptured tendon in his biceps in Week 3 this year, and now, if the Chargers can go on a big run, they'll be lucky enough to get him back. The #Chargers have designated Pro Bowl LT Rashawn Slater to return from Injured Reserve. He won’t play this week vs. Jacksonville, but there’s a chance after that if LA advances. Potentially big.
