Kansas City Chiefs Elevate Kicker To Active Roster For Saturday's Game
The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the NFL's best teams thus far in 2022, and with incredible amounts of talent all over the field, they're preparing for yet another deep playoff run, so in the biggest of moments, they're hoping to have their veteran, Super Bowl winning kicker.
Unfortunately, it looks like Harrison Butker could be missing the regular season finale against the Las Vegas Raiders, as the Chiefs officially elevated kicker Matthew Wright for Week 18, a sign that Butker will miss at least one week, if not more.
In 2022, Wright has kicked for both the Chiefs and the Steelers, with a 15-18 mark in 6 games played, and while they'd certainly rather the veteran Butker be the one taking kicks when the lights are on brightest, Wright looks like he's good enough to get the job done. The Chiefs have elevated practice squad WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette and K Matthew Wright for tomorrow’s game against the Raiders.
