Kanas City Chiefs Release Kicker From Practice Squad
The Kansas City Chiefs punched their ticket to their third Super Bowl in the Patrick Mahomes era this past Sunday with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and while we've become accustomed to Harrison Butker making big kicks at the end of the game, he has done it yet again.
Because of this, and the fact that his health has been much better in recent times, the Chiefs have now officially released kicker Matthew Wright from the practice squad, while bringing in wide receiver Jerrion Ealy.
In this season for Pittsburgh and Kansas City, Wright converted on 15 of 18 field goal attempts, so it's safe to say that one day, potentially in 2023, there's a good chance that he can find a permanent job in the NFL somewhere. The Chiefs have signed WR Jerrion Ealy to their practice squad and released K Matthew Wright from their practice squad.
