Injury Update On Los Angeles Chargers Wide Receiver
The Los Angeles Chargers took the risk of playing their starters to begin the Week 18 clash with the Denver Broncos, and after wide receiver Mike Williams went down, they decided to pull them, and now, it's been confirmed that they'll take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wild Card weekend.
In a piece of good news, the MRI on his injury today showed no fracture, and according to Chargers Head Coach Brandon Staley, he's expected back at practice this week, meaning that unless something else goes bad during the week, Justin Herbert will have his two top receivers available for the playoffs.
On the season, Williams has struggled to stay healthy, as he played in 13 of a potential 17 games, and over that time, he was able to rack up 63 catches for 895 yards and 4 Touchdowns, and if he and Keenan Allen can step up in the playoffs, this is a team that will be tough to beat.Brandon Staley said Mike Williams' MRI showed no fracture or muscle injury in his back. He has a contusion, Staley said. And Staley expects Williams to return to practice at some point this week.
