Indianapolis Colts Grant Jeff Saturday 2nd Interview
The Indianapolis Colts will consider giving interim head coach Jeff Saturday another chance. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the team will grant their former All-Pro center a second interview for their head coaching vacancy.
Saturday was a surprise choice to take over last season after the Colts fired Frank Reich after a 3-5-1 start. Saturday had never coached at the college or professional level. He led the team to a 1-7 finish over the back half of the season.Colts’ interim HC Jeff Saturday is scheduled to have his second interview today for the full-time head coaching job in Indianapolis, per sources.

The Colts plan to conduct a second round interviews with seven HC candidates, per source.
Saturday was a peculiar choice for interim coach in the first place, but everything that landed him the job in the first place will serve him well as he pursues the permanent head coaching gig. He's a well-respected and personable Colts legend who made six Pro Bowls with the team and won a Super Bowl following the 2006 season. Though inexperienced as a coach, he can likely provide young players with rare insight and leadership accrued from his playing days.
