Houston Texans Request To Interview Four Young Names For Vacant Head Coach Role
For the second year in a row, the Houston Texans have fired a Head Coach after just one season, and now, it looks like with a rebuild in full swing, they are going to go young for their next Head Coach, as they've officially requested to interview five young coaches around the league.
Among those involved are Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson, Broncos Offensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero, 49ers Defensive Coordinator DeMeco Ryans and Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jonathan Gannon.
After their last two coaches were both over the age of 60, it appears the Texans have a clear goal this time around, as they are looking to pair a young team with a talented young coach, and if they can pick up a name like Johnson, this could be a team that turns it around in a big way.A few more #Texans requests: DeMeco Ryans of the #49ers and Jonathan Gannon of the #Eagles… plus #Broncos DC Ejiro Evero, sources say.
