Favourite For Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Job Revealed
The Indianapolis Colts made the shocking choice to move on from Frank Reich during this past season due to their struggles, and after seeing Jeff Saturday go 1-7 in his time as Interim Head Coach, many assumed they'd move on this off-season for an experienced name.
While they've interviewed many candidates, it appears that for Owner Jim Irsay, Saturday is still the best candidate, as there is reports around Indianapolis that Irsay wants him to return, despite the lack of success and progression in the back half of the 2022 season.
It looks like other people within the organization believe a Head Coach with more experience will be better for the job, considering the strength of this roster which has them potentially in line for a playoff run, so this will certainly be an interesting situation to monitor over the coming weeks. In Indy, I’m told Jim Irsay still has desires to hire Jeff Saturday, but some who work w/ the owner or have his ear, while feeling Saturday is a great person—are not in favor of him as a HC, per source. We’ll see if the #Colts make it through the list of expected 2nd interviews.
