Detroit Lions Offensive Coordinator Staying Put
While they came up just one game short of the playoffs in 2022, the Detroit Lions took a massive step in turning their franchise around, and while there are many people to credit for this, one of the most important is Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson, who turned this offensive unit around in an incredible way.
Understandably, that's made him one of the hottest commodities on the coaching market, with teams requesting to interview him for both Head Coaching and Offensive Coordinator roles, and while he was expected to explore them, yesterday, he officially committed to Detroit for at least one more season.
In the future, he will get plenty more opportunities, as he's considered one of the brightest young minds in the entire NFL, so expect to hear his name again and again for every off-season going forward until he decides to take a massive opportunity.#Lions OC Ben Johnson informed interested teams he’s staying in Detroit, per sources.

Johnson was slated to travel Wednesday to interview with the #Panthers. But he feels Detroit is building something special and wants to see it through. Should be a hot HC name again next year. pic.twitter.com/vUNLyKFtLf
