Pollard is set to hit unrestricted free agency, so his injury comes at an unfortunate time. Typically, a leg fracture sports a three-month recovery, so he should be fine for training camp and the 2023 regular season, but it could affect his contract negotiations in the coming months. The Cowboys were reportedly considering applying the franchise tag on Pollard. Given the increased uncertainty regarding his status, it may be the ideal solution for all parties.
