Dallas Cowboys Release Young Cornerback

The Dallas Cowboys season will be on the line on Sunday as they take on the San Francisco 49ers on the road, and before that, they made a surprising move, as they elevated veteran cornerback Xavier Rhodes to the active roster, which needed to come with a corresponding move.

That move was the release of young cornerback Trayvon Mullen, the 2019 second-round pick who has failed to catch on at the NFL level, as Dallas has become his third team in as many years, meaning there's something not quite clicking yet.

In four years at the NFL level, Mullen has racked up 150 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 4 interceptions and 29 passes defended, so while he's not a star in the NFL, he's certainly shown potential, and it's likely that some team out there will take a chance on him.
