Dallas Cowboys Owner Has High Hopes For Head Coach
The Dallas Cowboys were expected to take a massive leap forward in 2022, and while they certainly took steps, winning their first playoff game in quite some time, and while some people may have begun questioning Mike McCarthy as Head Coach, Jerry Jones has made it clear that he's here to stay.
While it's still early, McCarthy told the media yesterday that Jones told him following the Divisional Round loss that he wanted him here as long as Tom Landry, the legendary Head Coach that served the Cowboys from 1960 to 1988.
McCarthy has been around for just three years, so he remains 26 years behind Landry, and while it's a lofty goal, there's a chance that if he can lead this current Cowboys squad to any semblance of Super Bowl success, it will mean just as much to their fans.Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said that Jerry Jones has told him he wants McCarthy to coach here in Dallas as long as Tom Landry did.
