Dallas Cowboys Linebacker To Miss Week 18
The Dallas Cowboys have already locked in a playoff spot in 2022, but with seeding still up in the air at the moment, they'll aim to put their best foot forward as they clash with the Washington Commanders in Week 18, but unfortunately, one of their key defenders won't be back for the divisional matchup.
That would be veteran Leighton Vander Esch, who will miss his third game in a row in this one, but in a more positive update, he has confirmed he's feeling good, and the Cowboys are simply resting him so that he can be healthy when the playoffs roll around a week later.
After years of promising regular seasons, the Cowboys finally looked to have the team on paper to make a deep run in 2022/23, and if Vander Esch, Diggs, Parsons and this defence can all stay on the field and at their best, they'll be a tough team to beat in the post-season.Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) said he is “doing good” but will miss his third game Sunday at Commanders. “It’s about the playoffs. …They’re just giving me a little bit extra time to get rest.” Defensive leader is fully expected to be on field for first playoff game.
