Dallas Cowboys Could Use Franchise Tag On Young Running Back
The Dallas Cowboys suffered yet another crushing playoff loss last night against the San Francisco 49ers, and while they've got all the pieces there, it just seems like they can't get over that hump, but with so much talent, they're expected to be back and competing again in 2023.
In order to do that, Dallas will need to retain some of their most important players, and that includes young running back Tony Pollard, who showed he can be a genuine star of the future, but to do so, it appears they're prepared to place the franchise tag on him.
For the fourth straight year, Pollards usage has gone up, with his best career numbers so far, as he accounted for almost 1,400 all-purpose yards to go along with 12 Touchdowns, and if they can fill out the roster and bring Pollard back, 2023 may finally be their year.#Cowboys want to retain pending free-agent RB Tony Pollard and will consider using the franchise tag on him, per @RapSheet

It should be about $10 million to keep him along with Zeke Elliott. pic.twitter.com/72XAfXnnKd
