Cowboys To Stick With Struggling Kicker
The Dallas Cowboys were downright dominant on Monday Night Football, finally getting their first playoff win out of the way, and while the 31-14 margin makes it look like very little went wrong for the Cowboys, there was one glaring weakness in the win.
That would be kicker Brett Maher, who has been solid over his career in the NFL, but unfortunately, in the biggest game he's ever played in his career, he managed to miss four extra point attempts, bringing a major weakness to the fore with this talented squad.
Fortunately for Maher's confidence, Head Coach Mike McCarthy told the media yesterday that they'll be forging ahead with Maher as their kicker, as he will be needed in a much bigger way when they take on San Francisco this weekend.#Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy said today they're sticking with Brett Maher as their kicker despite four missed XPs on Monday Night.
