Cowboys Sign Kicker To Practice Squad
The Dallas Cowboys may have dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football en route to an impressive 31-14 victory, but it wasn't all great, as their kicker Brett Maher ended up missing 4 Extra Points on the night.
Head Coach Mike McCarthy came out in support of Maher after the game and said they'd go forward with him and believe in him, and while that's still true, the team today signed Tristan Vizcaino to their practice squad for depth, in case the same thing would unfortunately happen this week.
Vizcaino has kicked in three games this year for Arizona and New England, and went 2-2 on Field Goals and 3-3 on Extra Points, and while he's just a depth signing, it's a solid move for a kicker that was great in 2022 in case they need him going forward. The #Cowboys plan to sign kicker Tristan Vizcaino to the practice squad, pending physical, per source.

Team officials have said the plan is to stick with Brett Maher after Monday night’s extra-point fiasco. But now they have insurance.
