Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest in the first quarter of the Bills' Monday Night Football matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was resuscitated on the field and rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was in critical condition and in the ICU up until very recently.
Hamlin's ability to communicate is a massive step forward and the best sign yet that he might make it through this tragic situation. Hopefully, the NFL and its fans will continue to support Hamlin and his family on his long road to recovery.
