Baltimore Ravens To Interview Seahawks Coach For Offensive Coordinator Role
Despite their Wild Card weekend loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens have plenty of reasons to be excited going forward, but if they can't lock up Lamar Jackson long-term, there's going to be plenty of holes to fill on this team over the next few months.
First things first, the team will need to fill the vacant Offensive Coordinator role, a hiring in which Jackson is meant to have a major say in, and on Saturday, the team requested to interview Seahawks Quarterbacks Coach Dave Canales for the vacant role.
It's no secret that Geno Smith had the best season of his career with Canales around in 2022, and if they believe he can transfer some of that success to Jackson, then this could be a great hire for a team looking to improve their offensive consistency in a big way.#Ravens have requested permission to speak with #Seahawks quarterbacks coach Dave Canales for their offensive coordinator job, per source. Canales is a longtime Seattle coach who worked closely with Geno Smith during his Pro Bowl year.
