Arizona Cardinals Fire Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury
The Arizona Cardinals are ready to make radical changes in their organizational hierarchy. ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news Monday morning that the team is firing head coach Kliff Kingsbury following their 4-13 regular season.
Reports began to emerge on Sunday that the Cardinals were considering moving on from Kingsbury. The former Texas Tech coach finishes his tenure with a 28-37-1 record and a .432 winning percentage. The Cardinals also lost their only postseason appearance in Kingsbury's four seasons, a 34-11 dismantling by the Los Angeles Rams last year.Sources: The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who 10 months ago signed a contract extension through the 2027 season.

Given franchise quarterback Kyler Murray's recovery from a devastating late-season ACL could linger into next season, the Cardinals are likely looking at a rough 2023 season. It makes sense to get a head start on a rebuild with a new coach. Cardinals fans will need some reason for optimism, and a new face at the top of the organization is a good start.
