Amazing Update On Houston Texans Young Wide Receiver
The Houston Texans made a great pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, as they took Alabama wide receiver John Metchie at No. 44 overall, but unfortunately, in July, he was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL), and it caused him to miss the entirety of his rookie campaign.
Today, General Manager Nick Caserio updated his recovery on the radio, declaring his recovery as 'amazing', and saying that there's a good chance the young wide receiver could be good to go by the spring, and will likely be back in The NFL in 2022.
This far out, it's hard to guarantee that, but the strides he is making in his recovery are fantastic, and after putting up 96 catches for 1,142 yards and 8 Touchdowns in his final year at Alabama, he will be a massive addition for this organization, and the young Quarterback that they are likely to take at No. 2 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.John Metchie III is making massive strides in recovery from Leukemia diagnosis, according to GM Nick Caserio.
