Cunningham has missed five straight games while on the injured reserve, and has missed a total of eight games this year due to the elbow injury.
The twenty-eight-year-old linebacker now has 21 days to return to practice and be added to the team's active roster before reverting to the IR for the rest of the season. However, the fact that Cunningham was able to return to practice immediately on Wednesday is a good sign.
In five games this season, he has 24 total tackles and one pass defended. He is a former second-round pick by the Houston Texans in the 2017 NFL Draft.
